Polyphemus: Hero's Path Stage 1 Traditional Cache

HERCULES had 10 labors and keeping The Hero’s Path up and running seems to be my own SYSIPHEAN task. It is as if NEMESIS herself is following me and undoing all my work. Every few weeks the TITANS are unleashed and once again I walk my own path to restore order from CHAOS. Thus, follow this journey knowing that ORDER balances on the head of pin. This cache is named for the Cyclops defeated by Odysseus when he gouged out his single EYE, This giant towers over the bike path. . 

It is a bit out of the way, but easy walking. Park in the retail parking lot and walk the short stretch of bikepath along the busy highway (sorry) until it cuts away from the road and becomes a pleasant bike path. Every school year, hundreds of local high school students race down this pathway as part of their PE class. But do they know a Cyclopian giant is watching them? We thought it might be fun to class up the area with a reference to Homer's Odyssey. The cache requires no bushwhacking but you may need to reach. The walk itself is easy, but a bit lengthy, thus no park n grab status. Enjoy.
