Geocache Description:

Amel is the spirit inhabiting all vampires. The spirit simply spreads larger through the blood, but Amel is in all.

My hairstylist asked what I was reading, I told her The Vampire Chronicles. She had never heard of it, so I said "You know, Interview With the Vampire with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt?" To which she replied, "NO! How have I not heard of a movie with those two?? When did it come out?" I thought about it and replied, "Around 1993." (It was actually 1994). She had never heard of it because she was like 3 years old when it came out. Yeah. And make sure to cover those gray hairs for me...

About 6000 years ago (give or take) Amel was just a pesky spirit accompanying 2 witches to meet the king and queen of Kemet. After the witches were freed, Amel began tormenting the steward of the king and queen, throwing things about his house and playing pranks. The king and queen sequestered themselves in the house to study and speak with the spirit. While they were in there, enemies snuck in and attacked them, assuming the spirit would be blamed for the assassination. When the attackers left, the king and queen were bleeding profusely and on the edge of death. It was at this point that Amel entered the blood and began circulating throughout the body of the queen. The queen's wounds healed and wanting more blood, she attacked the king and drained him of all he had left. Then she fed him of herself, and they became the first vampires. Dead creatures animated by possessed blood.

Seeing as how he was the originator of all, I thought this cache should be a bit trickier than the others.
