Geocache Description:

This cache is right off of a well tended trail and requires no bushwacking. It is located near the 3.25 mile marker on the Walkill Valley Rail Trail in Gardiner, NY. It is roughly 5 feet off the ground. It is a traditional geocache contained within clear plastic container, and lodged within the hollow of a tree.

You will likely have to park 1.5 miles from the cache along Route 44/55 in Gardiner for best access, and walk 1.5 miles to reach the cache. The walk is along a well maintained, gravel paved path and is at the lowest level of difficulty in terms of physical exertion. The cache is easy to find with the coordinates, but can be missed by the casual eye.
