The Temple Works is a former flax mill a grade I listed building. The designer, James Combe, designed the building front in a Ancient Egyptian style designed to mimic the Temple Of Horus at Edfu. Inside there was, at the time, The largest single room in the world that was 2 acres large. When being used a flax mill the temple works grew actual grass on the roof to help keep the mill humid and stop the flax drying out. This grass was maintained by actual sheep on the roofs that were bought there by an early form of hydraulic lift invented here.
This cache is a simple 1 step multi as I couldn't hide a cache in front of the building due to others caches being to close by :-) The cache is at N53 47.ABC W001 33.DEF. For the info just find the blue plaque at the temple works. 'TEMPLE MILL' is the first line.
