[JLX.71] Oratorio S. Lorenzo Traditional Cache

San Lorenzo, di sicure origini spagnole, precisamente Aragonese, venne martirizzato durante la persecuzione voluta dall'imperatore romano Valeriano mediante un editto, secondo il quale tutti i vescovi, i presbiteri e i diaconi dovevano essere messi a morte. Morì all'età di 33 anni.

Non vi sono fonti certe in merito ma si ritiene che l'edificio sia stato costruito nel 1200. Nel 1500, sul retro venne edificata la Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore, sede odierna della parrocchia.

La struttura è nel suo complesso molto antica e fu nei secoli molto importante per la popolazione cogoletese grazie anche alla presenza della Confraternita di san Lorenzo.

Il 10 di agosto il paese di veste a festa per celebrare il santo con una fiera ed uno spettacolo pirotecnico che ha come contorno la famosa "notte delle stelle".

AVVERTENZE E RACCOMANDAZIONI

1) RICOLLOCAZIONE DEL CACHE
Il cache è oggetto di frequente manutenzione. E' facile, tuttavia, incorrere in perdite o esposizioni eccessive ai geomuggles. Si prega pertanto, di riporre il cache esattamente come indicato nelle foto spoiler.

Saint Lawrence, for certain of Spanish origins, specifically of Aragon, was martyred during the persecution of Roman Emperor Valerian by an edict, according to which all the bishops, priests and deacons were to be put to death. He died at the age of 33.

There are no reliable sources on that but it is believed that the building was constructed in 1200. In 1500, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore was built at its back, to become the actual seat of the parish.

The whole structure was very old and in the centuries very important for the population of Cogoleto, thanks to the presence of the Brotherhood of St. Lawrence.

On 10th August the town dresses up to celebrate the saint with a fair and a fireworks show that has in background the famous "night of the stars".

1) REPOSITIONING THE CACHE
The cache is subject to frequent maintenance, however, it is easy to incur losses or excessive exposure to geomuggles. So please put exactly where indicated in the spoilers.

2) LOGS
The truth of the founds is very important for a scheduled and efficient maintenance. At the end of every maintenance session a logbook photo will be published. Every found which does not match the logbook will be deleted. No exception allowed.
