I will give a brief explanation for the Title of this cache "No More Ribbing". As a newcomer to Geocaching - only discovering it in late August 2014 I feel I have to make up for lost time compared to a lot of you who have been caching for many years. I love discovering new trails, both within the city but also in the mountains. We are so blessed with the amazing trails / nature we have right in our back yard. If it was not for geocaching I would probably never seen a fraction of what I have explored so far.
I enjoy the family hikes, discovering new trails, and trying to solve some of these puzzles (which I am terrible at and can only manage the easy ones). I am constantly amazed by the creativity of fellow geocachers in their cache container designs, write ups and descriptions, and some of their deceptions etc. I have also enjoyed (some may say too much, and have been teasing me about it) finding those FTFs - whether it is daytime, or midnight at Stave Lake, or 5am up on Thom Mountain ---- hence this cache --- no more Ribbing......please! Of course I am just kidding. I am having too much fun and if you can have a little laugh at my expense that's great! I don't mind at all.
Now to the cache at hand: The container is unique and I only have one spare. Please re-hide exactly where I placed it and make sure it is somewhat wedged in so the wildlife does not remove it. I found this one on one of the many hikes and I knew I could have fun with it. I hope it does not "wonder" off! This cache is perfectly suited to my career (this could be another hint).
A good place to check out the current conditions on Bear Mountain is through the Website Trailforks.com that has a Dynamic Trail Map of the all the trails in the area, with updates provided by the mountain bikers that use the trails.
Parking is best at Saunders Street just off Richards Ave.
Wear good footwear as the trail will be very slick on wet days! Depending on weather conditions the round trip from the parking lot on a good day is probably around 1 – 1 ½ hours.
