Geocache Description:

Precipitous means "dangerously high or steep" while a spur is "a short, continuous sloping line of higher ground, normally jutting out from the side of a ridge".

I have deliberately left out instructions and/or directions to get to this cache in order to increase the difficulty rating. The idea is that you need to find your own way to this cache. All that will be said is that it is within the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve so, currently, a fee of R40 per adult and R20 per child will need to be paid to access the Reserve and the office hours are 07h30 to 16h00 Monday through Sunday. The cache can be found either on the way to the summit of Haelkop, or on the way back down, depending on your chosen route...
Ropes or climbing gear is not required to access this cache, but it is not recommended if you have a fear of heights!
