This series has been placed to complete the section of the New Brunswick Trail that runs from Sackville, New Brunswick north east to the New Brunswick coast line, near the Confederation Bridge. The new series covers approximately eleven kilometers so you may want to park a vehicle at each end (parking coordinates are given at first and last cache). It is also recommended that if you are going to travel only one way that you begin at the Tantramar Regional High School in Sackville (the first set of parking coordinates), where you will pick up the trail head. This will allow you to travel with the prevailing winds at your back; important since much of the trail is unprotected from the wind.
The series itself should be very easy finds. They are hidden only a few meters from the trail, in evergreens, where possible, but all are hanging on some form of tree or pole. Most are winter friendly although a few may find themselves below the snow-line, particularly if we have another winter like this past one. All of the containers are micros, about the size of a 35mm film container but they should all be easy to spot. In many instances the locale will be very obvious as it was dictated by the vegetation, or lack thereof. While we attempted to hide the caches at regular intervals of about 200 to 250 meters, there are several stretches where the nearby houses were too close for caching comfort and so you might have to travel up to 400 meters between caches.
We ask that you replace the containers where they were hidden, the spot will be obvious in each instance. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if you take along an extra container, in the event that a cache has gone missing, and help us to replace wet or full logs. You will need to bring your own writing instrument.
