Muddy Pont - Craufurdland Traditional Cache

Placed with the kind permission of the land owners, namely Alex Craufurd at the Craufurdland Fishery.  Please access this series via the stones gates as you approach from Waterslap, Fenwick.  Park only at the cafe where there are designated spaces. Bring your own pen.

Craufurdland Estate on the outskirts of Kilmarnock and Fenwick is host to a number of outdoor pursuits, including fishing, mountain biking, archery, walking and the infamous Muddy Trials.  It can now also boast Geocaching!

This series of caches will take you through the estate.  All of the caches are within 30 meters or so of the paths, however sturdy boots or wellies are recommended.  There is something for everyone. There is no need to jump over any fences during this series.

You are now in the mountain biking and trail running area, so understandably it is quite a bit harder going underfoot than it has been.  The area can be slippy so please watch yourself.  Once you have bagged this cache take a small wander and you will find a small suspension bridge over the Craufurdland Water offering a lovely view downstream.
