Poor Harry Gault. Hard working, salt-of-the-earth kind of guy, trying to make a living with the logging leftovers of the big corporate loggers. What did he get? Why, he has a mountain and a trail named after him! How cool is that!
Unfortunately, he worked hard to get every tree possible off the mountain, leaving a barren, ugly, mess - even worse that today's clear cuts, as I understand it. For this, he is now known as Dirty Harry!
What does this have to do with 'Call before you dig?' We prefer to bury our power lines, cable lines, and phone lines now-a-days! There is a cable buried along this paved road, presumably going down the road to the Firefighter Training Center. The cache is located at one of these warning signs, just where you formerly left the paved road to take the trail up to Dirty Harry's. There is NO trail visible from this point now.
You will NOT need to call, as you will NOT need to dig. It is a micro-cache, accessible from the shoulder of the road. You will need to bring your own writing implement.
Grats CJJIT for FTF at 0-dark:30!!!
