ITA - A Ravenna si respira l’arte, la storia e la cultura. La cache è posizionata in una bassa muratura cilindrica, ricoperta da terriccio e vegetazione che potrebbe passare facilmente inosservata. A tutto si penserebbe tranne di trovarsi davanti a quello che un tempo fu un sontuoso e monumentale arco di trionfo: la Porta Aurea (I sec. d.C.), l'antico ingresso e simbolo di Ravenna.
La Porta venne eretta sotto l'impero di Claudio Tiberio, nel 42 D.C. sul lato sud-ovest della città. Il nome deriverebbe da un grande clipeo dorato posto nella parte alta della costruzione, voluto dallo stesso imperatore. A quel tempo, Porta Aurea doveva rappresentare il passaggio principale della città.

The cache is positioned in a low cylindrical wall, covered with soil and vegetation that could easily pass unnoticed. It is hard to believe that you are in front of what was once a sumptuous and monumental triumphal arch: the Porta Aurea (1st century AD), the ancient entrance and symbol of Ravenna.
The Gate was erected under the empire of Claudio Tiberio, in 42 D.C. on the south-west side of the city. The name derives from a large golden clypeus placed in the upper part of the building, wanted by the emperor himself. At that time, Porta Aurea was to represent the main passage of the city.
