En la zona central de Chile son comunes los servicentros que ofrecen espacios para descansar, alimentarse y tomar una ducha si se necesita. Elegimos esta parada para esconder el cache, pues se puede apreciar dos tipos de energías renovables no convencionales, energia solar y eólica. Las instalaciones de energía solar en este lugar son para calentar agua para el uso en baños y duchas, supliendo un 3% del consumo total. En el caso de la energía eólica, los generadores producen un 0,5% del consumo total de energía de la estación de servicio.
This cache is made for those who are taking a break on the road before continuing their journey. In the central area of Chile the gas stations that offer spaces for resting, eating and taking a shower are commonplace. We chose this spot to hide the cache, because you can see two sources of unconventional renewable energy, solar and wind. The solar power plants in this place are used for heating water for toilets and showers, supplying 3% of total consumption. The wind power generators produce 0.5% of total energy consumption of the service station.
