Geocache Description:

Co -ords will find you at a bridge over Bendigo's  Back Creek walking / cycle pathway. READ HINT Now.The boys use this section of the creek while walking their  Nana's dogs and Tom thought this was an ideal site to place a cache. There is no need to be on the roadway. p>

This bridge is a typical example of a small modern single span bridge, consisting of a series of precast reinforced concrete ‘T’ beams placed side by side to form the bridge deck. The ‘T’ beams, which are typically hollow to reduce the amount of concrete and to save weight, are supported on a cast-in-situ reinforced concrete abutment on each side of the creek. The abutments are founded on solid ground or rock, and rubber bearing pads separate the ‘T’ beams from the abutments to allow for small amount of movement, such as caused by changes in temperature. A reinforced concrete overlay slab is placed over the ‘T’ beams for added strength and to tie the ‘T’ beams together, and the asphalt road surface is placed onto the overlay slab.

Across the road is where the former Sandhurst Brickworks were located. Established by Joseph Wolstencroft who also built his home  in Miller Street,Glendra House in 1894 (probably with bricks for the brickyards,)  and lived there till 1925. The nearby Wolstencroft Street is named after him and the huge hole left by the clay pits of the brickworks has been filled in and the area is now a public recreaction area ,named Wolstencroft Reserve, after much lobbying by the Wolstencroft Area Action Group.

You are looking for a metal container 40mm X 80mm, placed where it would be highly unlikely to be waterlogged .There is NO NEED to be on the roadway. . Room only for log and small swap for FTF so please bring a pen.  Beware:  cyclists and pedestrians may appear suddenly . Cache and, there fore, you, should not be under open sky.. Please, Return container to same position.. and enjoy.
