[FR] Autrefois, à la place de l'internat autonome s'élevait ici un château (jusqu'à la fin de l'époque du charbonnage). La famille de Laminne avait fait construire ce château à la fin du 19e siècle.Le domaine était immense, puisqu'il reprenait tout l'espace compris entre le boulevard Kleyer, la rue des Bruyères et la rue Bois-Saint-Gilles. Détruit lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le château fut remplacé en 1960, par l'internat des Soeurs de la Miséricorde. Aujourd'hui, il est géré par la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.
[EN] Formerly, instead of boarding school, a castle stood here (until the end of the period of coal mining). Laminne family had built this castle in the late 19th century.The area was huge. Actually it extended over all the space between the Kleyer Boulevard, the street of Bruyeres and Bois-Saint-Gilles Street. Destroyed during the World War II, the castle was replaced in 1960 by the boarding of the Sisters of Mercy. Today it is managed by the Federation Wallonia-Brussels.
