Islands nationaldag (islandsk: Þjóðhátíðardagurinn, dagen for nationens fejringen) er en årlig ferie på Island som mindes grundlaget for Republikken Island den 17. juni 1944 og dens uafhængighed af dansk herredømme. Den dato blev valgt til at falde sammen med fødselsdag Jón Sigurðsson, en stor figur af islandsk kultur og lederen af bevægelsen islandske uafhængighed det 20. århundrede.
Her i Næstved vil vi samles på isbutik, spise noget is (som er frivillig naturligvis) og dele vores erfaringer fra Island med hinanden.

Icelandic National Day (Icelandic: Þjóðhátíðardagurinn, the day of the nation's celebration) is an annual holiday in Iceland which commemorates the foundation of The Republic of Iceland on 17 June 1944 and its independence from Danish rule. The date was chosen to coincide with the birthday of Jón Sigurðsson, a major figure of Icelandic culture and the leader of the 20th century Icelandic independence movement.
Here in Næstved we will gather at the ice cream shop, eat some ice cream (which is voluntary of course) and share our experiences from Iceland with each other.
