I like this trail as it runs through farm pastures and along Smiths Creek, thus making it a great place for birds to nest. The walk is rarely without constant birdsong (thus the title) throughout spring and summer. Bring your binoculars if you are a bird enthusiast and walk further along the trail past the cache. Further up you will cross a small wooden bridge that cattle pass under to access pastures on both the north and south side of the trail. It is truly a pleasant walk.
The cache is a camouflaged container hanging behind a fence post just off the trail. From the entrance at Barnet Boulevard you will walk about 140 metres. Bring your own pen or pencil.
Perhaps you can mention any birds you saw in your log.
