Geocache Description:

This is our 548th hide and yes it's another winter friendly hide at that. This cache is hidden in Clearwater County just to the north of the town of Bagley on the grounds of Farm By The Lake Nature Center. I have the Caretakers permission for this hide.

This is a family oriented cache to locate, very easy walking, flat, level terrain about a 1/4 mile walk. The geocache is located just off a groomed walking trail. Once at ground zero you will find your "smiley". There is no room in the container for swag let alone a writing stick so please bring a pen/pencil to sign the log of this cache. Please replace this hide as you found it. Good Luck, Enjoy and most of all Have Fun!

Farm by the Lake Nature Center

This is not a very well-known place. Please drive into driveway marked by a mailbox “Farm by the Lake” and you will see two open areas to your left and right, drive all the way up the driveway and there is a small parking area there. On your way in you will see Trail signs on your right/West side, this is a good place to start from!
Please enjoy yourself here, have a picnic, bird watch, walk the trails, go down to the lake, watch the ducks or beaver or enjoy the beautiful gardens but please be respectful of the tranquility and peacefulness of the area.

Please Note: Farm By the Lake is a 100 acre retreat center and nature area given to the community by author Richard C. Davids. Within these 100 acres are many different ecosystems including: ponds, natural springs, lake shore, tamarack bog, mixed hardwood forest, red pine plantation, natural grasslands gardens of exotic flowers, and many more. A mile and a half of year round trails encourage exploration by school groups, community groups, or individuals. Farm by the Lake is located a half hour west of Bemidji and only 30 minutes from Itasca State Park.
