The Little Free Library, placed by Canterbury City Council and constructed by the Canterbury Men’s Shed, was unveiled on 8 April 2015 and allows travellers and bookworms to pick up a book to read on their journey and then return the book when they are finished. People are also encouraged to leave their own books for others to come along read.
On their 1987 album Tallulah, The Go-Betweens gave us the song "Right Here" with the chorus:
I'm keeping you right here, right here, right here
Right here, right here
Whatever I have is yours
And it's Right Here
and in the spirit of adding and swapping swag to caches, I encourage you to give what was once yours and place it "Right Here".
This is a high muggle area due to its proximity to the train station and shopping strip so be stealthy or visit at less busy times of the day/week.
The cache is NOT inside the library so please don't disturb the contents looking for it. The library is very well maintained and cared for and built with lots of love and passion. Please don't trample the bushes as their is no need to leave the footpath.
Note about the logbook: Please take care with the logbook as it's one of a kind. Conserve space when logging your visit so it lasts as long as possible.
