Geocache Description:

There are a few caches in the area already, But there is room for some more.
I'm hoping to add a few more around the lake in the near future.

The result should be a nice walk around a lovely lake...
...and half a dozen caches for the list. :-)

You are near what used to be a parking area for the lake, at the end of Tongwell Lane,
The lane is one of the original country lanes that existed before the "NewTown" of Milton Keynes came along.
Historically, Tongwell was in the parish of Newport Pagnell but today it is separated from Newport Pagnell by the M1 Motorway and has become part of Milton Keynes.

Vehicle access along Tongwell Lane has been closed for general access for a number of years (Gated in 2008) and nature is slowly taking back the carpark.

I've added a good parking spot if you are driving to the area.
If you have the kids with you, I've marked the local play area.
If you have a dog along for the hunt, I've marked a clean easy access spot to the lake.
(There are plenty of others, but our dog generally finds the muddy ones and comes out a different colour)

Please remember...
There is deep water nearby and also busy main roads.
Keep a close eye on children and pets.

Its a short walk (0.5km) from the car park
The area is very popular with dog walkers, cyclists and joggers etc, so stealth will be required.
Buggies and wheelchairs will be able to get to the GZ - but the cache is off the path.

The cache is not large enough for TB's or swapables.
You will need a pen. Cache contains log only.
Tweezers will also come in handy.
