Geocache Description:

This cache is a part of the Tree Series in Urbana. It was placed with permission from the Urbana Parks Department. Please respect all posted hours and replace the container exactly as you found it. The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. The coordinates can be found by solving the following puzzle.

The Weirwood is a particularly important tree in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. The appear particularly in

the North with white bark and red five pointed leaves. They take on a religious significance for those in the

North when they are made into heart trees. This entails carving a face onto the weirwood. These heart trees

are usually found in the godswood. While there were once weirdwood trees in the South, most of these trees

were cut down by the invading Andals in an attempt to suppress the old gods in favor of the new Faith of the

Seven that became popular in the southern region. The North still primarily believe in the old gods and

worship at these heart trees. Weirwoods are even more common north of The Wall, where they grow

freely. Weirwoods play an important role in the mythology of the A Song of Ice and Fire universe.
