The Pine Pass is a mountain pass along the John Hart Highway that connects Prince George to Chetwynd and Dawson Creek through the Hart Ranges of the Northern Rockies of British Columbia. Completed in 1952, the John Hart Highway links the commerce of the north and markets of the south. Gas and oil lines also take advantage of this convenient natural feature. A scenic lookout (& another cache!) can be found about 3 km further south. Powder King Mountain Resort is approximately 10 kms south of the Pine Pass Cache towards Prince George.
Bring your camera as the cache location is a scenic spot to stop along the highway. The cache container is small (not a micro), but has no room for swag. Bring a pencil. Use a GPS. Don't rely on cell phone service in this part of the province!
