This cache is placed at about as far as you can go up Granite peak from the south side in a motorized vehicle. You will need to take the solid silver road to the top of the ridge then go to the right until you are at the base of Granite Peak. There are great views every direction. You can get here in a 4X4 vehicle if the roads are dry but I would suggest a Jeep or smaller. I would say you could not access this in the winter but if it's like our last two winters you probably could so I will say you won't be able to access it if there is snow (unless you have a snow machine). The cahce is placed at about 8200 feet. This would be a great ATV/UTV ride during the summer. Dont forget the camera. The cache is a 2" PVC tube about 8" long painted to match the surroundings. Enjoy the trip to and from this one. That's why I place caches where I do. It's about the trip, not the smiley.
