This park was first named "Larry Egbert Park" after a Mountlake Terrace Firefighter who was killed in a car crash in the early 1970's.
In the mid 1980's the parks' name was changed to honor all firefighters after a request from the Mountlake Terrace Fire Department.
Fire Station 18 was once located here, but was demolished in 2012. (Source: http://www.cityofmlt.com/cityServices/parks/ffPark.htm )
Ray Baldwin from Troop 304 made improvements to the park in 2013 for his Eagle Scout Project. Additional improvements were made possible in part with funding from Snohomish County and the city of Mountlake Terrace.
This 1 acre park is a nice place to take kids. There are two playgrounds, grass and shaded tree areas to play and a memorial to honor the firefighters who have served the people of Mountlake Terrace.
