Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in memory of my mother Jean, who collected this type of cache container. Although, she did not know this would be used as a cache container.

It is located in one of Roeland Park's many pocket parks.  Jean was a Roeland Park resident for 40+ years.  

As we replaced this cache, we learned more about the history of this park, Sweany Park, named after Gail Sweany who served as City Clerk for the City of Roland Park for over 40 years. Following her retirement, she served two terms as City Council Woman and on various committees. A city park was named after her in 1997. She lived across the street from the park and recently passed away at the age of 97. She too loved this type of cache container.
