There is a bird watching keep located at the site. Inside the bird watching keep is a National Parks and Wildlife Service list of birds including a brief description and picture of a swamphen. The keep overlooks Dangars lagoon. A beautiful spot.
A significant site for bird watchers. Rare birds and migratory species frequent the site along with various other endemic species. Information about bird species can be found inside the house/keep. Follow the short dirt road that leads off from the highway and then the short path to the wooden keep. The site is not far from Uralla, about a five minute drive.
