Geocache Description:

Another reason to get out and enjoy the Sumter National Forest!

Access to this cache can be made by the use of Stone rd. from Hwy 215. ( Please use caution when turning onto Stone Rd. as there is a large hole that you can't see until you are already in it). This will be more of a problem the lower your vehicle is to the ground. I drove right through it with a small SUV and had no problems at all.

This cache should be an easy find for any level of cacher. It is about 20 feet behind the sign you see here and about 6 feet up in a dead cedar tree.

If you continue past the cache this road will take you to a public access boat ramp provided by the US Forestry Dept. Once you get to the boat ramp, please do not block the ramp itself just in case someone needs to use it for their boat. there are very easy to follow trails that will take you right to the edge of the river so you can see a great view of the Sandy & Broad rivers.

This area is part of the Sumter National Forest and is maintained by the U.S. Forestry Service Enoree Ranger District. They have a lot of area to maintain so let’s all help them out by doing a little CITO when we are caching in the area.

***Please remember to have respect for the cache... replace as found, and please do not remove the container from it's location. Just open the lid and then replace the lid when finished. Thank you very much!***
