Don't hesitate to contribute. Use these guidelines.
1) The container must be regular (or at least small), so that it can hold kids friendly swag
2) Terrain should be up to 3, so that a sturdy 5 year old in good footwear can make it.
3) The hide must follow Leave No Trace principles

This is the third in the series of family friendly walks in the reeks.

The walk from the new hydro car park is a well defined track and starts at 150 m altitude and climbs steeply from the car park until you turn right, from there it levels out a bit until you reach the head of the Coomloughra Horseshoe at 450 m altitude. From here you can go north and climb the Coomloughra peaks clockwise, or south and climb them anticlockwise. There are well defined paths both ways.

This cache, however, does not involve any climbing, just a walk to the head of the three bodies of water here.. It can be quite boggy and uneven in places so good boots are a must, no trainers. The walk to the cache should take no longer than an hour, once there there are plenty of places for family games and picnics with a spectacular view. If you pick a dry day I'm sure you will enjoy it even more.

The cache itself is located a little way along the path towards the south arm of the Coomloughra horseshoe peeks. It's under the largest boulder in the area The spoiler pic shows the location.
