The entrance to the reserve is on a sweeping corner and can be easily missed. Use caution when leaving as you have limited vision to traffic on your right hand side.
A quiet Reserve, with Tennis Courts and a Cricket Pitch. Public Toilets and Parking area . NO Drinking water, but there is shade in front of the Cricket Club. It is my regular resting spot for many years and I have only seen the locals playing tennis, with the occasional Cricket game on weekends.
C424 – Gembrook – Launching Place Road. Most of the way the speed limit is 80 to 100kph, it has a couple of tight 30kph corners north of Gilwell Park Scout Camp that can catch a rider out as the radius tightens mid corner. The road surface is good to excellent, as parts of it were only resurfaced in November 2005. Previously it was unsealed.
From Pakenham take C411 Pakenham Road to Pakenham Upper. C424 starts at the roundabout on the right hand exit to Gembrook. Another good road to ride but is speed limited to 80kph and is policed heavily on the weekends.
From Launching Place, C424 is clearly marked with a sign “To Pakenham” from The Warburton Highway (B380).
The Cache is close to the parking area but out of site from people playing tennis. I would not attempt the cache if a game of cricket is playing. There are a few caches on this road that can be easily accessed from a Road Motorcycle. Find the other hides and then enjoy the return ride. There are several more caches in the Kurth Kiln Sate Park on unsealed roads.
Please replace the cache in its original hiding spot, facing away from the view of muggles who may stumble upon it.
