Geocache Description:

This series of paddle caches, and the companion series by CocaColaCacher, will take you along an easy paddling portion of the Jock River.

It is recommended that you park a vehicle at Terry Carisse Park on Steeple Hill Crescent and then proceed to the put in just off Eagleson Road in Richmond.

By using the put in located in Richmond, you will be paddling with the current.
While the Jock River is normally not a fast flowing river, there is enough of a current to help or hinder your progress, depending on where your put in and take out.

The total paddling distance from Richmond to Terry Carisse Park is approximately 6 km, and should take 3 to 4 hours to complete.

This cache is only accessible from the river, there is no way to access this cache from land; you will need watercraft of some sort in order to get this cache.

The cache has been placed above the high water line and is secured firmly to a sturdy tree branch; you will have to reach above your head in order to access the container.

When placed, the cache was reachable from a sitting position in a standard kayak. Depending on water levels, you may need some sort of tool to lower the branch.

When placed, each container had a log sheet and pencil.
