Almost two years ago, Mel and I were asked to place a handful of family-friendly caches on this trail by one of the board members for Wildcat Park. Since placing the original four, we have added two more (at the East end of the Park), and recently have had one of the original four go missing - thus resulting in this new, replacement cache!! Luckily, timing allowed us to place this cache in honor of our (upcoming) 3rd wedding anniversary (and corresponding Caching Event)!!
Therefore, this is one of the four caches along the walking trail that leads between Ludlow and Wildcat Park. Two of these caches are family-friendly ammo cans filled with swag for the little cachers out there, whereas two are smaller lock-n-locks.
You can access this trail from three different trailheads - one in Wildcat Park, and two others in Ludlow.
Wildcat Park was established in 1925, and was created through the generosity and efforts of George W. Olmsted and other prominent members of the Ludlow Community, it is open May through the end of October, and does require a $1 admission for those wishing to visit the park. However, anyone is welcome to walk the well-maintained trail, and can avoid this fee by parking in Ludlow and entering the trail at one of the two trailheads there.
