Hunting Horcruxes #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ice and Wind: I've learned that this cache is located on school property which is one of the places that's off limits to geocaches so I, regretfully, have to archive this listing.

I apologize to the cache owner and the community for any confusion as this is something I should have questioned when I originally reviewed the cache.

Geocache Description:

“Hey, on your way to the store can you find and destroy all seven of Voldemort’s horcruxes?” In the novel series Harry Potter, written by J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley set out to find and destroy several of Voldemort’s horcruxes before the last showdown between Harry and Voldemort. This cache is not available during school hours.

What is a horcrux? A wizard can split his soul into two pieces and hide one part in an object. If the wizard is to walk off a cliff and die, they would still be tethered to life. So as long as your horcrux stayed safe you’d be immortal. Horcruxes are an evil thing, since you have to murder someone to make one. Horcruxes can be destroyed. Harry, Hermione, and Ron mainly use basilisk venom but fiendfyre was used on one occasion. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND FIENDFYRE. We also do not recommend holding onto the horcrux for too long since they have been known to possess the owner.

I use QR (quick response) boxes on the cache. This makes it so that I could use a flat small container and still allow people to "find" a horcrux. To see what horcrux you've uncovered download a QR scanner to your device. These are generally free. Then when you find one of the caches use your device to scan the QR box on the cache and your device will be directed to a padlet (it's a website) where you can view the horcrux and read a few quotes from the books.
