To launch a racing bug into the Iditarod, you must follow these steps:

2. The bug should be brand new (zero accumulated miles) and activated.
3. TB's Current Goal: This bug is a racer in the 2015 Christmas Iditarod Race. Its goal is to reach a Cache in the city of North Pole, Alaska and a Cache above the Arctic Circle before 25 December 2015.
4. TB's About this item: This bug was launched from the sunny beaches of Coastal North Carolina, it is racing to North Pole, Alaska and the Arctic Circle before Christmas Day.
5. Travel Bug riders should be a Christmas Ornament of some sort.
6. The Travel Bug racers will be dropped off into the event as the first cache logged.
7. All racers will be mixed up and distributed as a "white elephant" gift exchange. So you won't leave the event with your own bug.
8. Prizes will be awarded at a December event for each bug that reaches its goal or travels the most miles. A zonk prize will go to the bug that travels the least number of miles.
9. You do not have to enter a racer to attend the event.
