The trail will take you close to each cache, but you will have to bushwhack for some of them. I would advise returning to the trail to hike to the next cache in the series, as bushwhacking from cache to cache may not always be possible. Rapid terrain changes and dense thorny vegetation may get in the way. I learned that firsthand. And keep in mind that this is Highmeyer Road Park, the Poison Ivy capital of Harborcreek Township. Also be prepared for muddy conditions after rain. Good boots come in handy.
This is a beautiful little park, and this trail of caches will lead you to some great scenery and wonderful views.
This cache, currently the last of this series, is located along Eight Mile Creek, which eventually feeds into Lake Erie. Normally a mild running creek, it was nearly raging on the day of the hide after several hours of rain.
Enjoy!
