The Spruce Pine area has so few geocaches, so this cache is placed to allow those who hide caches in this area a chance to find one too. This will be a tough one to find; the terrain is rough and there is very little GPS or cell signal so the coordinates might be tricky. A small water crossing and steep terrain will be involved in locating this cache.
We came to this place for a geocachers event and couldn't help but notice that there were no caches in this public park. I wanted to give local cachers something new to look for. This is a difficult cache due to lack of signal here, but once you get high up just use your geosenses and look around. You are looking for a camo matchstick container. Please place it back carefully so that it is not visible to others who might play in these woods.
