Geocache Description:

Eagle Ridge & Mountain are on the east side of Buntzen Lake. This cache is located along the Halvor Lunden Trail.  It is a challenging hike, probably upwards of 16 kms should you choose to complete the Lindsay Lake loop and pick up the few caches up here. Parking can be a challenge during peak summer hours; I would suggest you come early during the summer months.

There are a few caches to be found, but I think more would do a better job of attracting more people to these trails.  If you have already picked up all the caches up this way and suddenly you discover this new one ... apologies.  Please consider it a good reason to come again.

I would suggest you start your hike from the overflow parking lot near Buntzen Lake.

There is a lot of vertical to this cache.  It is approximately 5-6 kms from the parking lot, most of that uphill, some of it significant.  There are many switch backs to traverse en route. After finding the cache the trail continues north and a few additional caches.  You will also pass a number of small lakes on the ridge. Wren, Chickadee, and St. Mary, as well as Lindsay.

The cache itself is a brown large container with a green lid.  It contains the caps of the various brands of beer I enjoy.
