There are 2 islands out on Houston County Lake. The first Island all ready has 2 geocaches. The second island didn't have any. We wanted more that 2 smiles for a whole day of kayaking so we put a geocache on the Pine Island. This island is forested much more densely than Bear Island, and because you must have the use of a boat we set the terrain at 5. There isn't anywhere to dock a boat, but a kayake can paddle up to the island. Then depending on where you put in at there is a small hike up to higher ground. The Cache is a large ammo can with a log and several trinkets! The island has no trails. Bring your own pen. I hope you and your family have as much fun finding as we had placing. Be carefull of ticks, spiders, thorns, ect.
