FR: Idée de balade autour de Saint-Luc - Les Moulins
Les moulins de St-Luc sont un groupe d'installations hydrauliques en cascade datant du XVIe siècle. La force de l'eau, prélevée en amont dans le Torrent des Moulins, sert à faire tourner une roue horizontale. La mécanique utilisée est rudimentaire, mais adaptée aux fortes pentes valaisannes.
Le site, restauré entre 1981 et 1984, regroupe trois moulins (moulin à maïs, moulin à seigle et moulin à seigle et froment), deux foulons (foulon à drap, foulon à orge et un presse-noix) ainsi que la maison du meunier.
Les moulins sont situés en dessous du village de Saint-Luc, le long du torrent. Ils sont accessibles en 10 min à pied depuis le village. Il est possible de les voir fonctionner de juillet à septembre tous les mardis et jeudis de 16h à 18h, mais visible tout au long de l'année. La cache se situe le long du sentier bordant le torrent en direction du Prilett à 1602 m d'altitude, à proximité de la prise d'eau des moulins. Elle est accessible durant toute la belle saison.

The mills of St-Luc are a group of hydraulic installations in cascade dating from the XVIth century. The force of the water, taken upstream in the Torrent des Moulins (literally the rocky stream of the mills), is used to rotate an horizontal wheel. The mechanism is rather rudimentary, but well adapted to the strong sloped landscape of the Valais Canton.
The site, restored between 1981 and 1984, includes three mills (cornmill, rye mill, rye and wheat mill), two rammers (cloth rammer, barley mill and a walnut grinding mill) and the miller's house.
The mills are located in the lower part of the Saint-Luc village, along the rocky stream. They are accessible in 10 min by foot from the center of the village. From July to September, it is possible to see them working every tuesday and thursday from 16 pm to 18 pm. However, the buildings can be seen all year round. The cache is located along the trail bording the stream in direction of the Prilett at an elevation of 1602 meters, not far from the mills water deviation. It is accessible as long as there is no snow.
