Geocache Description:

Geocache is a challenge to get to, but easy to find once you arrive.  You will need a canoe or ice to access this one.

15-20 minute hike from unmarked trail head. Wolverine road at the trailhead is unpaved and rough. Watch the YouTube video at http://youtu.be/iFAw-db94mw for help on finding the trailhead. Bring a canoe if trying this when there is no lake ice. You will have to carry the canoe for a good distance. It took us about 15 minutes of steady walking/carrying to get to the lake edge.  Once you reach lake edge it is challenging to launch as the lake edge is quite muddy and "Tusocky".  Then you paddle to the only island. When ice is thick enough, you could simply Ice skate to the island. Look for a larger twin forked birch tree near the west end of island. Hanging in tree.  Not a simple geocache.
