Geocache Description:

Welcome to the MCT Schoolhouse trail! You can walk, bike, rollerblade and even walk your dog on the trails. We noticed that this bike trail had hardly any caches so we decided to place some. We plan to put out more, but if anyone else wants to help extend the caching trail feel free! Hope you enjoy!

We numbered these West and East using the Metro East Park & Recreation District Office (MEPRD) and rest stop as our central point.

Surface: Asphalt

Parking: Horseshoe Lake State Park (Pontoon Beach); Gateway Center, MEPRD (Collinsville) ; Drost Park, Park & Bike Lot at Rte. 162 (Maryville)

Location: Rte. 162/Old Troy Rd. in Troy to Harrison St. in Madison

Features: Old-growth forests, fields, Collinsville neighborhoods and Horseshoe Lake State Park offer a diverse array of scenic views

Points of Interest: Horseshoe Lake State Park, Metro East Park & Recreation District Office (MEPRD) and rest stop, 1-mile on-road connector to Gateway Center and Splash City Water Park, Drost Park

Trail Connections: MCT Nature Trail, MCT Goshen Trail, Horseshoe Lake State Park Trails

GPs is Jumpy on days. This caches is within the tree line no need to go all the down the hill.
