Kätkö sijaitsee Suomussalmen Kerälänkylässä Havannantien ja Kangasjärven metsäautotien risteyksen läheisyydessä. Kätkön lähellä virtaa pieni puro, jossa ainakin kesällä 2015 riittää vettä. Metsäautotietä ei pääsääntöisesti pidetä auki talvella.
