We have always been UVa fans and wanted to commemorate the first national championship in the sport of baseball for the school. 2014-2015 was also an incredible year for the entire Virginia athletic program, winning 3 national titles, including soccer and tennis. This was the first ACC school to ever win three national titles in one academic year. The Wahoos also won the Men's Capital One Cup, given to the best overall men's athletic program. Except for football, this was a fun year to be a 'Hoos fan!!!
The cached is rightly placed at a baseball field, just over the home run fence, at the edge of the woods. If you have not been to Harper's Park, it is very family friendly. The park has a picnic shelter, playground, splash pad, and a walking trail around the baseball fields. It would be best to park in the parking lot of the park and walk to the cache. Watch for the small temporary fence (about a foot high) when accessing the cache. Hope you all enjoy and Go 'Hoos!!
