The park has reopened as of sumer 2024, altough with a brand new unfortunate name: Mariero. With due respect to the original park and cache name, the name of this cache will remain unchanged as Tusenskönan. Maybe not all places in our town has to allude to Maria Alexandrovna of Mariehamn.

Svenska/swedish: Bakom planket på Nygatan ligger en liten park, Tusenskönan. Parken tillkom för 20 år sedan då Ålands Natur & Miljö och Fredsföreningen gemensamt protesterade mot att det skulle anläggas parkeringsplatser på platsen. "Anlägg en park istället" var slagordet som senare vann kraft. Idén med parken är sticka ut från stadens övriga grönområden; parken ska återspegla en villaträdgård vid sekelskiftet, och därför ska växtmaterialet till parken också vara gammalt. Efter en tids renoveringar har parken sommaren 2024 återöppnat för allmänheten, nu i ny tappning och med ett nytt namn: Mariero.
English: Behind a fence on Nygatan, a small park resides. The park came about 20 years ago, when Ålands Natur & Miljö (roughly translated as "the association of Ålandic Nature & Environment" and Fredsföreningen ("the Peace association") together protested against plans to construct a parking lot on the site. "Build a park instead", they said, and so it became. The orignial thought behind the park was that it should be different than the rest of the cities parks; it should mirror the ideals of 19th and 20th-century gardens, with era-appropriate vegetation. After several years of renovations, the park has as of summer 2024 reopened to the public, but under a new name: Mariero.
