This dirt road borders 40 acres of forest consisting of mostly red oak. This land has a forestry plan to keep it just like it is. There can be no building, development or de-forestation that can happen to the 40 acres along this dirt road. You can see Red Oak, White Pine, Maple, Basswood, Birch and many other kinds of trees from the road. The other side of the road is farm land containing very little trees. All of this land, a hundred plus years ago on both sides of the dirt road, was at one time filled with red oak trees.
