This is the first cache in the NZ Natives series. We have amazing native flora and fauna here in NZ that many people know little about. My 3 mini cache huntears thought this would be a fun way to educate people about NZ Natives.
This is a commemorative tree site for the battle of gate pa. The cache is a painted marmite container near a native Manuka tree. The Manuka tree has small spikey leaves streaky bark and grows small white flowers. please upload a photo of your hunt with the Karo tree or another native tree in the area. there is a coke bottle Keychain in there for the ftf. Cache also contains usual goodies. We picked up a bit of rubbish upon placing this cache. Feel free to do the same.
