Join us for a meet and greet at the Caesar Creek State park beach.

Free camping overnight on the public beach to view the Perseid Meteor Shower. Meet ODNR Naturalist, the Cincinnati Astronomical Society and OCVN volunteers for an 'Out-of-this-World-Experience'! Learn about nocturnal wildlife and discover the stars and planets through hands-on family oriented learning activities as we wait for it to get dark. Enjoy a powerpoint presentation from the Astronomical Society and view other galaxies through their telescopes, or bring your own. Food and drinks will be provided as a fundraiser for the Nature Center. Join us for a bonfire on the beach, and much more! -Weather permitting. Call for more info. 513-897-2437.
6:00 - 8:00 - Geo 101/ meet n greet
We will meet to discuss geocaching and maybe show a few newbies a little about our hobby.
8:00 pm - 11:00 pm camping/star gazing/group hunt
After 8 you can go on a group hunt or check out the stars or just hang out
Just a chance to get together and talk a little geocaching and relax at the beach.
There is free tent camping at the beach this evening for the perseid meteor showers that are expected to be visible (if the sky is clear of course).
You must call the park to register for the free tent camping at the beach - their number is 513-897-2437.
We will have a few snacks to share but feel free to bring your own to share.
There is plenty of parking available near the beach! You might want to bring a chair or blanket to make it a real beach party!
Time for the event is 6:00pm - 11:00pm unless of course you are camping for the night in which you can stay all night!
