Geocache Description:

As you can see from my geocaching profile logo, I am a split personality (a German who lives in the small but beautiful country Slovenia for more than 15 years now). On the next to last day of my summer vacation on Madeira I would love to meet some people from near and far who share a passion for modern treasure hunting.

Close to the given header coordinates you will see a duck pond with a statue of two boys playing. It is a very popular photo opportunity in the municipal gardens. We will meet at the fence closest to the statue. There are also some benches where we can sit in the shade, admire the lush tropical vegetation in the park, have a chat, trade some trackables, exchange experiences about our geocaching adventures on Madeira...

The event starts at 17:00 in the afternoon and will last at least for 30 minutes. Later on we can go to some nice bar in the vicinity of the municipal gardens. We could close the event by searching for some interesting geocaches in the area around the event location. But that is just optional.

I am looking forward to greeting and meeting you in the municipal gardens of Funchal.
