The Berks County Heritage Center is a historical interpretive complex commemorating important eras of our cultural history. It offers a wide range of exciting opportunities for families and groups to enjoy themselves while discovering the heritage of both Berks County and of America.
The Gruber Wagon Works, the C. Howard Hiester Canal Center, Wertz’s Covered Bridge, Melcher's Grist Mill, Deppen Cemetery, Bicentennial Eagle Memorial, Police and Veteran's Memorial, and the Doctor's Grove, are all encompassed within the Heritage Center.

Note: This cache has the hunting attribute selected. Hunters wear orange, and when the time is right, and so should you. During hunting season, it is best to do this series on a Sunday. The majority of the cache containers are hidden within 10 - 20 feet from the trail. Since these caches are hidden in the woods, you will encounter things like wildlife, poison ivy, bugs, ticks, etc. That is just part of geocaching in the great outdoors. Good Luck.
