BEST Geo-Art: E04/21
Bernville, Jefferson Township, Berks County, PA
Koziar's Christmas Village was originally known as Spring Lake Dairy Farm. When William M. Koziar began decorating the farm for Christmas in 1948, the display was created for the enjoyment of Koziar's wife, Grace, and their four children. It originally centered on the house and barn. Soon after, the display became more elaborate and incorporated the lake, walkways, trees, and fences. Over time, the private display became a popular local attraction known as the ‘Christmas House.’ Traffic nearby would slow down because passersby would drive by slowly to get a chance to view the display. Currently, the Christmas Village utilizes approximately one half million Christmas lights and other decorative effects and is listed among the top tourist attractions in Pennsylvania and the top Christmas displays in the United States.
Upon entrance, visitors are greeted by costumed characters Rudolph, Frosty, and the Village's own …

Note: This cache has the hunting attribute selected. Hunters wear orange, and when the time is right, and so should you. During hunting season, it is best to do this series on a Sunday. The majority of the cache containers are hidden within 10 - 20 feet from the trail. Since these caches are hidden in the woods, you will encounter things like wildlife, poison ivy, bugs, ticks, etc. That is just part of geocaching in the great outdoors. Good Luck.
Please note that GC60F9W - The Old Fisherman was archived to make room for this BEST Geo-Art geocache. Thanks bolebar49.
