Ducky Dan Traditional Cache

You will have a pleasant 5-7 minute walk from Rothesay Road to find this cache, it is located just off one of the Bottle Lake Forest avenues, not far from a walking/running track.  This area can get very busy on a nice day so beware of muggles.  Bring your own pen, this cache has no room for swapables.

This is our first geocache hide.  Bottle Lake forest is a pleasant and fun recreation park, located approximately 10km north-east of Christchurch City centre,  a great place to spend an afternoon either walking with every man and his dog, running or cycling.  We have chosen a path that has easy walking access, but it is sandy and stoney underfoot.  The quickest access to this cache via car is from Rothesay Road, then you will have a pleasant 5-7 minute walk ahead of you.  The idea of our cache was derived from a famous Cantabrian, Canterbury born All Black, Dan Carter.  We chose Dan as our geocache namesake as he wears the same jersey number as our cache icon, plus he also shares the same birthday as our son, who is also the creator of this cache.  You will need to bring your own pen along.
