Smoke, Sauce and Swimming in the Springs Event Cache

Nothing says summer in Texas like BBQ and swimming holes.  This event combines them and gives you a chance to explore some central Texas gems that you may not know, but should - Opie's BBQ and Krause Springs.

Opie's is a great place to get your 'Q on and the sides (tater tot casserole and blackberry cobbler)) are NOT to be missed! 

Afterward, we can adjourn to Krause Springs about a mile down the road (404 Krause Spring Rd) to swim and soak in the cool springs (and find the cache in their garden).  If you want to swim it's $7 for adults, $5 for kids and they take cash only.

If you don't want to swim, or would like cache your way to Opie's,  there are lots of caches in the area including the Hwy. 71 series, which tends to be more P & G-ish and the Middle Earth series which is more rugged (translation: I will chase this series when it's cooler).
